My dear Cal,

Your letter reached me a few days ago. I was delighted to hear from you. Your friends must indeed be good to you when they so kindly anticipate your arrival. We have lots of money in the treasury and I am enclosing a cheque for $15.00. Will you endorse the accompanying order which will do for a receipt and return it to me.

My business at present is preaching on the Sabbath, floor-walking in the Ladies' Reading Room, reading very light literature and playing tennis. Floor-walking is no job for either an ambitious or able-bodied man, but the Pres. of the St. M.S. can't turn up his nose at small pittances for his pocket-at least this is my experience.
