I beg to acknowledge yours of the 3rd instant, in which you state that you have completed your second term of six months residence on your homestead, the S.W. Quarter of Section 22, Township 31, Range 10, West of the 3rd Meridian, and that you have fourteen acres in crop, seven of which were broken this year.1 In reply, I am to inform you that I have made a record of same on the files at this office, and that your action would appear quite satisfactory.
