Very many thanks for "Sunday at Home" which arrives safely each month--it is most kind of you to think of sending it. It seems to be exceptionally good of late and several of the patients enjoy it besides myself

We all miss your visits very much indeed, and I am wondering if you are ill--I thought you might like to hear that I am on walking exercise--which fact pleases me a great deal--only it has filled me with a spirit of unconquerable unrest which makes me want to take a sporting chance in the world again while I am as fit as I am.

My first five minutes seemed to me to be the most wonderful, and the most fleeting, I ever lived--the very air just thrills! I walked over to the Prevent' [sic] to see my small son--and believe me he was greatly surprised to see his mother once more in la vie ordinaire.

We all do hope you are not really ill--if you are, we sincerely wish you to get well--and I do hope I shall see you again before I, too, leave the Sanatorium.

P.S. Perhaps you are aware that Mr. Gordon has left the 'San,' so I have to flounder along with the Latin alone--but though it is far more difficult without a teacher, I am managing to get a little understanding of Caesar, though one is more prone to idle away the time when not obliged to prepare a daily lesson. I am awfully sorry Mr. Gordon has left.
