W8706 TO REV. CALVIN MCQUESTEN from his brother Thomas Baker McQuesten Feb 21 1913 To: Rev. Calvin McQuesten Bracebridge, Ontario From: My dear Cal,
I have your letter. I think you will probably be safe enough to take the $500.00 and his note for the balance. Of course you are not giving him a deed of your land, I suppose. If you are the 200.00 should be included in the mortgage work.
Have you not got a local solicitor acting for you, that would be wise would it not?
I shall get you the money on Monday. I had invested 150.00 on a short term mortgage for six months but we can take this over and let you have the money.
Mr. Chisholm wanted me to ask you what he should get for hay. Suppose it is marsh hay or wild hay which grows in his S.W. land. He has had an offer for it and he wants to know what it is worth.
Your affte bro.
T.B. McQuesten
