My dearest Calvin,

We were so glad to hear that all your china came in safely, it was nothing to lose a saucer that can be easily replaced; and it is nice to think you have some people ready to do things for you.

We are just as busy as we can be, my head is well right distracted with the endless number of things, arranging for the meetings here,, and then helping about the arrangement of programme as member of Prov. Board.

Besides the General Council meets in Montreal beginning on May 18^th and I go as the member from Ham. Presbytery. By new regulations, each Province has so many representatives on Gen. Council. This was decided at our Exec. yesterday and I have been somewhat excited ever since. So I scarcely feel inclined to any more conferences for this year, tho' I used to think I'd love to go once to Northfield. Will look up the Record and see.

Last night went down to Knox to hear Dr. Nugent from India, he was very interesting, warning us that after the war the Indians will demand their rights in the colonies. Did you know that the Hindoos [sic] in S.Africa are not allowed to walk on sidewalk. Treated like the Boers always did the natives. The Rajahs and Princes have given such immense sums of money, one gave $1,500,000 besides any amount of other things.

Well, Cal dear you really must excuse me, if I do not write a long letter. Have a long letter to write Mrs. Hay of Ottawa on business. Did I tell you Mr. C. [Chisholm] is going to run for member? We seem in such a whirl all the time. There is no announcement as to the speakers at Northfield Conference, but an advertisement says "For particulars and illustrated circular address, Ambert G. Moody. East Northfield. Mass." (Have just found it, so enclose). With much love.
