Just a few lines to wish you a very happy and blessed New Year. I hope you were not greatly detained by the accident by on the R.R. Monday morning; felt very sorry, for I knew your time was valuable, however I trust you arrived not too tried. Now I want you to get through all your engagements just as early as possible. Don't do a single thing any one else can do, but keep as quiet as you can. Then when the Annual Meeting is over I might give you a trip to Algonquin Park or Atlantic City for a rest as Mr. Ketchen takes every winter for a couple of weeks, one Sabbath out of his pulpit. It does not pay to get run down too far, it takes so much longer to pick up, which would not do.

Heard from Maggie White and Wm. MacKay much pleased with your gifts. Maggie was evidently much impressed with the Splendid book. Tell Mrs. Henry you are going to rest next Monday morning, as parsons ought to do on Mondays. Sleep all you can, so as to get rested up. You will always be welcome home when you wish to come, it was most unfortunate you couldn't stay longer, it would have meant much. All join in wishing you a happy New Year.
