Must re-cover sofa. What room would we put it in. Think it would be well to paint sewing room floor.

W8857 TO REV. CALVIN MCQUESTEN from his sister, Edna
Apr 16 1912
To: Rev. Calvin McQuesten, Bracebridge, Ontario
From: Whitehern, Hamilton, Ontario

My dear Cal,

Mama was up at G's [Gentle's furniture] to-day and the bureau and side-board look perfectly lovely and will be ready to go up with the rest of the things.

Our guests have left us and Mrs James's garrulity has well nigh done for us. She endeavored to convert everyone she met, winding up with Lorna who was at station seeing Marion off yesterday. The latter is huge and was groaning with heat as it was a very oppressive day. Olive is here but I haven't got up to see her.

Janie James we enjoyed very much and Mrs. J. except when we got too much of it. Janie seems to have very little strength. Jessie Wade was at the Thomson's the day we were there. She was interesting and much improved I thought.

The Turnbulls as usual are loaded up with Hagersville people. Connie looks very tired. Tom was telling of a Rev. [Little?] in London who was forced to move to the outskirts of the city to escape visitors from his former parish in the country. His backyard was filled with rigs most of the time.

Mr. McIntosh has refused the call to St. John's Church so they'll have to try again.

Tom is starting gardening again and got a box of plants from Connon's to-day. That was such a pretty rabbit you sent me at Easter. We were all greatly taken with it. I had an Easter card from Miss Tucker, Bard [William] Murray, Jean McLaren, and old Miss McFeggan at Mrs. Bates's.

Your affec. sister,

Edna
