My dear Calvin,

It seems a long time since I wrote you, but we are really so quiet that I am getting stupid and seem to have nothing to relate. We are dull too without you and Hilda, I do hope her nose is not being mal-treated. Mr. [Ketchen?] has gone off to Atlantic City and New York for a holiday. Mr. Turnbull sent him a cheque. Someday I hope you may have a generous parishioner. Mary is very busy with S.S. Library. Mr. Graham is giving $5.00 worth of missionary books, so I will see which ones he selects. Of the "Junior Library" they have nearly all already.

I have been entertaining myself by trying to pay a few visits. Amongst others the Uncle, he gazed at me, but did not invite me in, however I went in and endeavoured to tell him any news I could think of. I also visited Lorna one day. Edna enjoyed Valentine's Day very much. As usual you excelled in your selection. The day I called at the Billings, I met Agnes Powis there, she was just telling me of Crawford's end when we were interrupted, but I think, none of them were with him, as died early in the morning, without suffering, his heart gave out. Strange to say, they none of them expected it. Mary was up at the Glasscos to-day. "Bonnie" was there, on his way south, as "Pickle" was just recovering from "Grip," he took her with him this evening. I believe Mr. [Harmer?] is to preach on Sunday and Mr. [Eakins?] the following.

I was glad to hear you were warm in Knox College, hope you are finding good food somewhere. And poor old Mr. Gordon is gone too! Mrs. Gilbert told me, he passed away most peacefully. Will not wait for your letter, or you will not get this before Sabbath. With much love, Cal dear.
