W8954 TO REV. CALVIN MCQUESTEN FROM a friend Katherine Irving
Jan 3 1912
To: Rev. Calvin McQuesten
From:

My Dear Calvin,

Just a little note to thank you for your kind remembrance of us at Christmas, the dainty calendar with it Peter Pan fairy pictures is most pretty and fascinating, thank you very much for it.

We are still hearing candidates, last Sunday evng. something was the matter with the lights, they kept going off, twice it was most amusing. We were singing "And thee no sun by day shall ever smite, No moon shall harm thee in the silent night," darkness. In the midst of the sermon, we were being told of the missionaries who went to preach to those in darkness when again off went the lights. It really must have been trying for the minister's nerves.

With kind regards in which mother joins me and hoping you may have a prosperous and happy new year.

Sincerely yours

Katherine Irving
