W9076 TO REV CALVIN MCQUESTEN from his Mother, Mary Baker Mcquesten Jan 1 1913 date estimated by context To: Rev. Calvin McQuesten Huntingdon, Quebec From: Whitehern Hamilton, Ontario[Dear Calvin]
I'm lending Mr. Ketchen some of our books to get up his German, he thinks he will also take [French?]. Edna heard from Nellie James, Winnie Gartshore is being sent out again to learn nursery [sic]. Why I do not know. My news seems to be exhausted.
I wish you were here near enough to come in for a meal sometime. Glad the church finances are in good shape, the budget is quite a load and in a great many cases it is really the poor minister who will always suffer.
[Here] It is not intended to continue Mrs. F's [Fletcher]1 allowance after this year but thought it would be kind to continue for this year, till she got her affairs in shape.
With much love Cal dear,
Your affectionate Mother,
M.B. McQuesten
